California Spectrum Services provides behavioral and educational services while implementing Applied Behavioral Analysis based interventions to children, adolescents and adults living in Central California. Services focus and are based upon individual needs. CSS is looking for individuals who are dependable, flexible, enthusiastic, motivated and willing to learn. Interventionist will provide one-on-one intervention to individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders and other developmental disabilities.


Positions Available:

  •        Part- time Behavior Interventionist  (10-20 hrs/week, Hours: 3:00pm-8:00pm)
  •        Full - time Program Supervisor (40 hrs/week; includes Direct Hours and Admin Hours).


Behavior Interventionist:

ABA Behavioral Interventionists implement one-on-one ABA based behavioral intervention to children, adolescents, and adults in their home. Behavioral Interventionists also provide behavioral support in community settings.


Job Duties:

  • Implements Applied Behavioral Analysis Interventions in one-on-one setting.
  • Attends program meetings and attends all professional growth meetings.
  • Attends scheduled interventional sessions.
  • Collects all required documentation during interventional sessions.
  • Communicates with parents, caregivers, and/or other educational professionals.
  • Demonstrate an understanding, patient, and receptive attitude toward children, particularly those exhibiting development delays.
  • Appropriately manage child’s behavior and guide client toward more acceptable social behaviors.
  • Communicate effectively in oral and written form. 
  • Understand and carry out oral and written directions.
  • Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with children and adults.
  • Adapt to different environments and settings.
  • Work effectively in unsupervised and uncontrolled environments.
  • Problem Solving Skills; ability to problem solve.
  • Create activities to supplement programs.
  • Stoop, bend, crawl, lift 50 lbs., and see and hear sufficiently to perform the duties listed above.


Requirements

  • MUST possess an education level equivalent to the completion of a Bachelors level degree or junior or senior status working towards a Bachelors level degree in a human service field or related field (i.e. Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, Child Development, Special Education, etc.) Interventionist must submit proof of current enrollment or college degree.
  • Experience preferred
  • Bilingual is a plus
  • Appropriate English usage, punctuation, spelling, and grammar;
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Reliable Transportation and Current Car Insurance
  • Flexibility with Schedule, available afternoons and evenings
  • Negative Tuberculosis (TB) Test
  • Background Criminal Record Clearance
  • Traveling outside of Bakersfield
